Information for Parents

This generation of students, like no other generation before, is bombarded from every angle.  Many are overlooked, exploited, and neglected.  For that reason we see statistics like suicide being the third highest cause of death among 15 to 24 year olds.  It is an unprecedented time in our history where the future of our community is in serious jeopardy.  If you watch the news, you’re well aware that often the stories elevated to the top of the news casts are school related violence, teen drug abuse, binge drinking, and other troubled teen stories.  The fact is, many of our students feel as if no one really cares about them.

That is the purpose of groundzero.  Abundant Life Community Church believes we can partner with our community to RESCUE this generation.  The groundzero student center is a safe place where students can hang out, have fun, and be real. We gather on Wednesdays at 7pm for our groundzero youth service.  Students are given opportunities to talk openly about issues confronting their daily lives, and then are challenged to let those things drive them closer to God.
