The book of Leviticus is the law that God gave to Moses, within it you find alot of what God expected His people. God was calling his people to live to a different standard if you will. In Leviticus 18:1-3 God say’s Thoes who call themselve children of God are not to live like they did while they were in Egypt (the past), nor are you to do what is done in the land of Canaan (the future). What this say’s to me is as followers of God we cannot live like we did in the past before we knew Christ (in Sin) which is obvious but even more so we must be aware of the future because the future is where we are going. We do not want to allow ourselves to be influenced back into sin because we find ourselves among thoes who do. We the children of God are called to be set-apart which means we are to live, respond, act differently then how thoes around us would. We are emissarys or representatives of God, just as governements send out men/women to represent themselves among the world. God has sent us out to represent Him. Who is it that you represent?
